Frequently Asked Questions

What does a ticket include?

How much does it cost?

All shoots include opportunities to take a variety of photos or videos with different models in different setups. We will provide water, light snacks and lots of words of encouragement to keep you going! More information on what is included in the shoot can be found in its specific description.

Prices vary depending on the complexity / location of the shoot but we always try to keep it as affordable as possible while making sure we are covering the costs on our end.

I’m coming from out of state - can you help with travel?

How many photographers and videographers will be there?

04

Yes!  Reach out to us with questions and we will be happy to  provide details for each location with nearby airports, directions and accommodation recommendations.  We also have an affiliate travel agency to assist you with any travel plans. Please message us at events@mirrorballcollective.com for more help with your travel plans.

We accept different attendee counts based on the type of event. We aim to keep all shoots between 6-20 people. Content days are meant to be a smaller group (6-10), where styled shoots are meant to have a larger group overall, but we do split the large group into smaller groups of 3 so that everyone has space to move around and get the shots they want.

We do not offer refunds, but you are allowed to transfer your ticket to someone else. If you have an extreme circumstance, please email us and we can see if we can switch your spot to another event depending on availability and time. Please read our terms and conditions for more info.

Yes! We encourage you to publish the photos on a blog or submit to get published, we just ask that you make sure to give all the vendors credit, and let us know if you get published so we can scream it from the rooftops!

Can I use flash or external lighting?

09

Are Plus-ones  allowed?

Normally we’re a more the merrier kind of party, but we do ask that you let us know if you are wanting to bring a plus one. We don’t always have the space for extra people to meet us under the mirrorball. Plus ones are not allowed to take photos, videos, or behind the scenes (BTS) content unless given prior approval. All plus ones must be approved. If you are looking to bring a plus one to get BTS for you, we ask that you purchase a ticket for them, so they aren’t dancing on their own.

Most locations allow for flash or external lighting. However some venues may not allow flash or light stands; we will let you know ahead of time if that is the case. Most often this happens in locations like hotel lobbies that are a bit more public. Additionally if the venue allows, we always recommend bringing a flash in case of location switches due to inclement weather.

What is the difference between a styled shoot, content day, or retreat?

What if there is extreme weather?

We don’t believe in not being prepared so we always make a backup plan in case mother nature decides to make her problems everyones problems. Most often for styled shoots, if we are outside we will adjust the shoot to move inside. For content days if this is not possible we will try to reschedule the shoot. We are always tracking the weather and will adjust to move back outside if permitted once it is safe.

Styled shoots focus on a collaborative effort to bring vendors in to set up multiple wedding or elopement scenes with models such as a ceremony, table scape, cake cutting area, and more. In order for a larger group of photographers and videographers to capture content and make connections. These generally focus on putting together design elements that are going to trend in the future, lots of florals, and unique elements that do not necessarily happen during an in season event.

Content Days //

Content days are a smaller scale event with less setup overall. These are usually styled more around the model and can vary from being set like an elopement, fashion shoot, or any other fun concept.

Retreats //

Retreats have it all, these are multi-day events that will have a styled shoot and content day with community based activities such as editing sessions and workshops built in.

We’d love to have you at any of our events, but if you have a question about what’s right for you please reach out we’re happy to help!
